According to tradition, the Mother’s Day plate from Bing & Grøndahl depicts motherly love in the natural world. This year’s motif, by artist Allan Therkelsen, shows a watchful polar bear mother with her playful, inquisitive cubs who are on the first expedition of their lives outside the lair.
